Story 1: LOOKS MATTER

It’s not always about the price.

Our clients had a historic home to sell in a highly desirable neighborhood in Nashville. As with many historic homes, the floor plan was a little odd. After trying for over four months to sell it with another agent, the owners asked for our help. We coordinated a handyman to take care of a few maintenance items that were sending the wrong message to buyers about the condition of the property, and we staged the home so that the flow of the house made sense to buyers. With those minor tweaks, we sold the house for $10,000 more than the last unsuccessful list price.

Needing to sell a home in order to buy another is always tricky, but especially if you’re looking for something rare. We helped our client get everything ready, and with professional photography in hand, began telling agents about their home. Because it looked great and the pricing was spot on, we had two offers pre-market and were able to use that leverage to negotiate that the sale would not take place until our clients found a new home.
